About The Clay Pot

The Clay Pot started as a pottery studio in Brooklyn, but evolved into a
jewelry store in the 80s when founders Sally and Robert Silberberg hosted a
wedding ring show featuring the work of local artisans. The family-owned
business, now run by the founders’ daughter, Tara, has become one of the
most talked about jewelry stores in New York City. The Clay Pot remains
dedicated to artisans and designers from all over the United States.

The Challenge

After helping Tara with a successful migration from Magento to Shopify
that resulted in little to no business disruption and a better user experience,
she approached us to improve her website’s traffic and make their Google
Ads fall campaign more profitable than the prior year.

We audited their existing account structure and identified
opportunities to maximize return on ad spend and conversions.

Our experienced team knew exactly what to look for and spotted some fantastic opportunities for growth.

2020 Google Ads Campaign

As with any e-commerce business, the holiday season is one of, if not the
most important sales season all year. Tara was looking to grow not
only her site’s traffic but also improve upon her return on ad spend (ROAS).
We got to work analyzing both her organic search traffic and her Google ads
account structure.

After reviewing her ads account, we quickly identified some tangible
opportunities to streamline her ad groups. We targeted additional keywords
that would ultimately yield improved return on ad spend and conversions.

The Results

Through consistent campaign management and feedback from the client,
we were able to grow revenue incrementally each month through the holiday season.

The 2020 campaign we ran gave her a best-ever holiday season –
more than double the revenue and conversion rate of her next-best campaign in 2017.

This positive growth trend has continued into 2021 to-date.
