Social Media Day 2011 is tomorrow! Now in its second year, this global event celebrates our connected world and gives people a chance to socialize with their online communities offline.

If social media isn’t your style, tomorrow is also the day that Wills and Kate—err, I mean the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—set foot on Canadian soil for their 10-day tour. Here is a creepy interactive map of their travels that shows pretty much everything except which bathrooms they plan to use.

In Victoria, the Social Media Day party is happening at 7 pm at the Empress’ Bengal Lounge, home of the most delicious curry buffet. They’ll be offering a free appetizer deal, plus they’re bringing their Tiger Poutine back just for the party.

And because social media laughs in the face of geographical boundaries, here’s how the rest of the world is celebrating:

San Francisco and New York

Party with the people who created Social Media Day: The Mashable crew! In San Francisco, they’ll be at Brooklyn Bowl, where you can bowl free for an hour. As a strange bonus, all attendees are invited to stay for the Q-Tip show at 11 pm.

In New York, the Mashable folks will be at House of Air, an indoor trampoline park, for free jumping, dodgeball and basketball. No Q-Tip, though.

London

London has “real” SMDay event planned at the Old Crowne Public House, but I’m more amused by the flash-planking event in Soho Square (“Embracing the spirit of planking and all that’s great about social media”). At exactly 1:13 pm, everyone is invited to plank in inventive locations around the square, with one lucky person being crowned “Absolute Planker 2011.” Unspecified treats will also be offered to all attendees.

Detroit

At Motor City Casino’s Sound Board, you can mingle, listen to Detroit Rock City-themed music and have the chance to meet the Detroit Red Wings’ and Tigers’ fancy-schmancy social media teams. The first thousand tickets have already sold out, but 500 more free tickets are being released. Cameras, laptops and cell phones are encouraged.

Dublin

Did you know that Dublin is the internet capital of Europe? It’s the European headquarters of Facebook, Zynga, Google and LinkedIn, and it was the first European city to officially declare June 30th as Social Media Day. The SMDay party is at the Grand Canal Theatre, in case you’re in town.

Toronto

Canada’s largest SMDay gathering has two major perks. First, you’ll only be 352.72 km from William and Kate. Second, the party is happening at the Tattoo Rock Parlour, which means you can get tattooed or pierced while you mingle. Good times.
