Visual Search is a fairly new and daring concept. As demonstrated by Spezify, visual search not only works, but it can actually be useful to the user. The search results provided are fetched from the major search engines so the results are legitimate. But the way Spezify lays out it's results may leave something to be desired. The results are scattered and not displayed in the numerical order that web surfers are used to. This doesn't mean that visual search will not catch on. Who says results must be displayed in a specific order? With visual search it is up to the product or service to catch the eye of the user rather than allowing for search engine optimizers to compete for top spot. Spezify uses a number of different media to display it's results in a cool new manner that may or may not catch on. In an age where people are trying to read less and make decisions faster, this model just might be the next big thing.
