Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit

The 2010 Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit is being held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on October 2nd and 3rd. The PNW Drupal Summit is an annual conference where Drupal users from Vancouver, Victoria, Northern California, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon meet up to share their knowledge. There will be scheduled speaking sessions as well as social events. This years event will be held at UBC Robson Square building in downtown Vancouver, Canada.

You may submit your proposals for sessions before August 6th, 2010.

Layout Studio - SEO Friendly Drupal 6 Theme

The folks over at the northStudio Drupal Development team have released a killer Drupal 6 Theme that is both SEO friendly and easily customizable. The theme is called Layout Studio and it is based on the current standard Zen theme. Layout Studio provides a little more flexibility to the designer than the Zen theme, such as more layout options, symantically correct region naming, and more body, block, and node classes to advanced CSS usability.

Acquia Webinar: Best Practices for Drupal Search Engine Optimization and Driving Site Conversions

Acquia provides great webinars to help new and existing Drupal and Acquia users get a better idea about the leading Content Management System. I have attended a few webinars in the past and they have been professional, easy to follow, and informative. We like to put the webinars up on the big screen in our conference room and take an hour and a bit to learn some new things about our favorite CMS. The webinar titled Best Practices for Drupal Search Engine Optimization and Driving Site Conversions will run at 10:00 Pacific Time on January 7, 2010.

The Gigya Socialize module for the Drupal Content Management System has just been released in BETA. Gigya is a widget distribution network that provides all kinds of useful widgets for Social integration as well as tools for widget developers. Gigya Socialize is a widget developed to allow users to connect, share, and promote via different social media websites. The Gigya Socialize module for Drupal provides an API aggregate authentication and social API's from a number of different Social Media platforms.
