July 29 Meetup @ Birds of a Feather B&B

On July 29th, 2010, Stikky Media, northStudio, and Vancouver Island Outdoor Adventure Expo joined forces to sponsor a Pig Roast Meet Up hosted by Birds of a Feather B&B on Esquimalt Lagoon!

The Meet Up/Tweet Up was organized using Mashable Meet Up, and the beautiful B&B proved the perfect meeting location with its gorgeous waterfront.  A visit from a family of swans added to the postcard-perfect scenery! We all enjoyed the stunning coastal view and the avian guests that came right up to the dock as we wandered around the water’s edge with our delicious barbecued pork sandwiches and Portobello burgers in hand.

We had a great turnout of about 60 people, which provided many opportunities for mingling and putting faces to twitter names.  It’s always great to make new friends, chat with other social media enthusiasts, and enjoy a warm summer evenings outdoors!

Our Meet Up included a draw for a brand new Ipad, won by Meghan McCrae.  Congratulations, Meghan!
